How White Elegance Found their Niche
In 1994, Tamera Perkins and Anna Barbieri, two sisters passionate about providing elegant clothing for temple use, began White Elegance. After asking their friends and family where they could find beautiful, elegant LDS white temple dresses, they recognized the need for dresses that women would love to wear.
The idea was incredibly successful, and after just 18 months, it had grown to include 36 representatives in 10 states. After the sisters found their success in providing temple dresses for women, they expanded their offerings to include special clothing for every family member. You’ll find men’s and women’s temple clothing, temple endowment dresses, baptism dresses, blessing and christening outfits, and first communion dresses in our clothing collection.

Beautiful, custom clothing designed in-house
Not many clothing companies can say that they design and locally manufacture most of their clothes. As Head Designer at White Elegance, Lisa Raty leads the way in providing modest but beautiful LDS temple gowns and more for women during any stage of life. Since joining the company in 2009, she has created every design in-house, producing patterns exclusive to White Elegance. Using her creativity, she is constantly sketching and designing new silhouettes for clothing, drawing patterns that many of our customers become familiar with and become their favorite dress throughout the years. Our Halifax dress is a new, simple yet modern LDS temple dress that has a timeless style.
Quality fabric that is durable and long-lasting
White Elegance hand-selects quality fabrics from around the world that are custom-dyed to create our unique designs. Designing and sewing our clothes in-house in the USA allows us to control quality while providing the customer with a durable dress that can withstand years of use. While our white LDS temple dresses are beautiful and elegant, they are durable enough to last years, easy to wash, and comfortable for hours of wear. We love the Summerville dress, a fully-lined dress with a natural waist and a v-neck trim adorned with beautiful lace.

At White Elegance, we’re proud to offer inclusive sizing for all of our customers, from XXS to 4XL, and petite, regular, and tall lengths. When designing our temple dresses, Lisa Raty says she begins the process by listening to what the customer wants. Because our White Elegance team is so involved in the community, we can receive valuable feedback from our customers. We believe that creating customer-led fashion is so important because our buyers are the ones living in their clothes, and we strive to make fashion that works for them.
